Dry Rot October 1986

A crazy, but very likeable gang of bookies have hatched a get-rich-quick plan to substitute their decrepit old nag for the odds-on favourite in its next race. The fun starts when, in order to be near the racecourse, they book into a country hotel run by a retired colonel and his wife and daughter. Secret rooms, sliding panels, mistaken identity and a nice little bit of romance are some of the main ingredients of this very racy and slick farce. It never lets up for a moment, relying on split second timing and such high speed action that, like all good farces, the audience has no time to dissect and rationalise the plot!
